As the World’s Largest Hybrid Packaging Supplier®, Berlin Packaging experienced significant growth in EMEA thanks to its innovative vision and unique positioning in the packaging market. The Company’s momentum toward the future and visionary industry approach needed a new Home, a place translating its features into space and creating a great opportunity for customers.
On July 4th, 2022, Berlin Packaging officially opened the doors of its new EMEA Headquarters: the House of the Possible.
More than a building, it represents a multiple commitment: to sustainability, to the local community, to employees, and to the business.
It is a pleasure to welcome you here, in our EMEA Headquarters that we proudly call ‘House of the Possible’. Our Anything is Possible culture couldn’t have taken a better shape. This building stands for Innovation. It’s a game changer just like all Berliners are: we have an optimistic and forward-looking attitude in the way we run our business, internally and externally. Our EMEA Headquarters is its clear demonstration.

COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY: LEED CERTIFICATION
Berlin Packaging EMEA Headquarters are LEED Gold certified, thanks to the measures addressed to improve its overall performance.
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification is internationally recognized and provides a comprehensive framework for healthy, efficient, carbon and cost-saving green buildings. Thanks to its rating system, the LEED allows the detection of the main areas of impact that can contribute to creating the best building possible, considering critical elements such as climate change, people’s health, water resources, and community impact.

The choice of a pre-existing building avoiding new constructions is certainly a green choice!
Sustainable Sites
To limit the contribution to global warming, materials and colors that reduce heat islands were identified.

The proper management of water within the House of the Possible helps mitigate the environmental impact.
Energy & Atmosphere
100% renewable energy thanks to photovoltaic panels and energy efficiency technologies.
Materials & Resources
Recycled materials were preferred in all the requalification process.
Indoor Environmental Quality
The installation of indoor CO2 systems helps to ensure a safe environment for our employees.
COMMITMENT TO LOCAL COMMUNITY: GREEN CAMPUS AND LOCAL AREA ENHANCEMENT
The Berlin Packaging EMEA Headquarters is only a part of the local area’s enhancements. It’s a real campus that starts from the dry garden just outside of the building.
The garden, which has a well-thought-out distribution of components (plants, soil, hedges, walkways, the distance between the islands of greenery), forms a direct visual relationship with the public park in front of the building across the road.

Also, the makeover of the Company’s historic Headquarters in Viale Cristoforo Colombo – located within walking distance of the new HQ – with the modernization of its offices and common areas, has contributed to the success of the project.
The resurfacing of the local basketball field is the first step in a journey to enhance the local area: the overall project foresees several activities aimed at increasing the area’s potential. For instance, the first of the planned activities is the development and restoration of the public park in via Gioia, and more will follow in the future thanks to the virtuous synergy between the Company and the local community.
COMMITMENT TO EMPLOYEES: WELL-BEING IS A PRIORITY
There are more than 1000 Berliners that work in 50+ sites across EMEA and speak 13+ languages.
The EMEA HQ is the home of each and one of them.
House of the Possible is a perfect place for action, interaction, and relaxation of Berliners. The space has been designed to be livable and sustainable and to ensure their well-being. Co-workers enjoy naturally well-lit environments in direct visual communication with the pleasant outdoor landscape. The garden and the indoor plants contribute to the improvement of their psychophysical well-being.
Furthermore, the acoustic climate of the entire office is optimized to facilitate the concentration of those present. Finally, all the materials used, protect the health of the co-workers and at the same time ensure the compliance with rigorous environmental criteria.
