A Smarter Way to Package Mayonnaise
With over 30 years of experience, Tarplan is Estonia’s oldest manufacturer of mayonnaise and sauces. Their product range includes eight unique mayonnaise varieties, all made with Estonian rapeseed oil and carefully selected ingredients.
In December 2023, Tarplan partnered with Berlin Packaging to modernize its packaging approach, replacing the traditional film-on-roll process, which required multiple additional steps such as cutting, sealing, and manual handling, with a more efficient, modern, and consumer-friendly solution: Spout Pouches.

Why Spout Pouches?
The transition took eight months, starting with rigorous trials using unprinted samples on Tarplan’s filling lines to ensure perfect sizing, layout, and compatibility. The result? A seamless upgrade without compromising quality or safety.
The new packaging solution includes pre-formed spout pouches in two sizes: 380 ml and 210 ml, featuring multiple print variations for strong branding and a sleek, modern look.
