The box pouch, also known as flat bottom or box bottom pouch, is the modern version of the classic block bottom bag. With its printable side gussets and stable flat bottom it has that “premium” look which is sought after by brands and consumers alike. It is entirely sealed and provides a good barrier. The efficient shape ensures optimal use of shelf space and saves on packaging material compared with similar stand-up pouches. The four sides and the base offer numerous printing options.
The box pouch is ideal for packaging dry food and non-food products such as pasta, coffee, snacks, pet food, muesli, food supplements and protein powders. The box pouch can also be used for liquids up to 500 ml. For higher volumes, quadroseal pouches, doypacks or K-seal stand-up pouches are good alternatives.

APPLICATIONS AND POSSIBILITIES
The box pouch has the perfect shape for a good presentation of your product and it has five printable sizes. When printed (partially) matt varnish you can add a serious look and touch to the pouch. For convenient opening you can add laserscore and/or make us of various types of zippers such as top zipper, valcro zipper or front zipper also called pocket zipper. Box pouches can be made with various barrier properties to protect your products, such as nuts, sport powders, cocoa powders and coffee.

Box pouches can be made of mono-material. These pouches are available in all sizes, colors or with extras such as a valve or zipper. This can be with high oxygen barrier when needed.
