Solid food
Solid food products are dry foods. Examples include breakfast cereals, cocoa powder, meat and fish, nuts, sprinkles, pet food and coffee beans.
DRY FOOD PACKAGING
Solid food products are dry foods. The form varies from powders, grains or chunks for pouring or sprinkling. Examples include breakfast cereals, cocao powder, meat and fish, nuts, sprinkles, pet food and coffee beans. These products are stored at room temperature, refrigerated or in the freezer. We work with you to ensure that the packaging meets your needs.
FRESH
Fresh, or temperature controlled products mostly refer to products that are freshly packed, meaning not preserved. Both foil and preformed bags can be used for this, with, for example, a suitable perforation for an optimal shelf life of fresh vegetables or fruit.
CHILLED
Chilled products are refrigerated to extend shelf life and prevent bacteria and mold growth. Rapid chilling, such as blast chilling, helps preserve flavor and nutrition.
Packaging can include anti-fog treatments for clear visibility in the fridge, and barrier options like vacuum-sealed flat pouches for meat or fish to extend freshness. Common packaging includes flat pouches, doypacks, and packaging film rolls
FROZEN
Frozen products are blast chilled after cooking to well below freezing point. This retains the flavour and nutritional content and the products can be stored for many months in the freezer. Both preformed packaging as well as packaging film from reel are suitable for this application. A stand-up pouch is good for optimal presentation, ensuring that the product really stands out in the supermarket’s freezer section.
ROOM TEMPERATURE
Products that are stored at room temperature can be kept for a long period at temperatures of around 20 C°. These are generally dry products, such as nuts, pasta, rice and sweets. These are mainly packaged in packaging film roll. Preformed pouches can also be used if this is better for production or presentation. This includes box pouches or block bottom pouches.
REQUIREMENTS
Whether you want to ensure that your nuts, crisps or biscuits retain that crunchy bite or you’re concerned about the protection, portioning and user-friendly packaging of your rice, sugar, sweets or pasta – we will find the optimal packaging while taking into account the required barrier, user convenience and recyclability.
Frequently used packaging types include packaging film roll that versatile machines process into flowpack or stand-up pouches. The preformed pouches, box pouches and sidefold or quadroseal packaging are popular because of their durability, ability to stay upright and user convenience. Frequently used options are handles and zippers.
